‘Aunt Sally’ is a widely popular game based in in Oxfordshire, England, played regularly during Spring/Summer. It has remained a traditional pub game throughout the years and even expanded to local counties such as Bicester, Bampton, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire.

The game consists of a white skittle, commonly referred to as a ‘Dolly’ placed on a metal perch approximately 10 meters away. Wooden sticks are then thrown at the dolly with the aim of knocking it off its perch. The Aunt Sally Backdrop is placed on a frame, usually wooden or metal, behind the dolly.

The backdrop is used to:

• prevent the wooden sticks or dolly travelling too far
• prevent damage to surrounding valuables
• prevent unnecessary injury to spectators

• Made from heavy-duty 610gsm PVC, our custom Aunt Sally backdrops provide a durable tarpaulin solution that will last many years. We also offer canvas tarpaulins if you require, however we would recommend PVC due to its durability and waterproof characteristics.
• The most common sizes are 6ft x 6ft, 6ft x 8ft or 6ft x 9ft – if you do require any other shapes or sizes, we manufacture tarpaulins bespoke so we can accommodate all requests.
• The backdrop is manufactured with eyelets around the perimeter to allow for easy securing to your frame. The standard eyelet spacing is every 250-300mm unless you have a specific preference which we can of course accommodate. The sheet can also be secured to a wall if required – if you can have a small space behind the sheet it allows for movement when struck.
• The PVC material is lightweight to allow for easy fitting and removal for storage
